Motor module

The motor module is what we often refer to as an inverter unit, which converts 540V or 600V DC power into three-phase AC power. There are currently two types of motor modules: book type and machine mounted cabinet type. The book type is further divided into single axis motor module and double axis motor module, with a single axis of 3-200A; The dual axis is 3-18A. The installation and cabinet type is 210-1405A (380-480V power grid); 85-1270A (500-690V grid). Fast data exchange occurs between the motor module and the main control unit through the DRIVE-CLIQ interface.

control unit

The SINAMICS S120 DC/AC multi axis drive control unit, also known as CU320, is the brain of the drive system. It is responsible for controlling and coordinating all modules in the entire drive system, completing the control of the current loop, speed loop, and even position loop of each axis. The axes controlled by the same CU320 can exchange data with each other, that is, any axis can read data from other axes on the control unit, This feature is widely used for simple speed synchronization between multiple axes. According to the number of peripheral I/O modules connected, axis control mode, required functions, and different CF cards, one CU320 can control different numbers of axes.

Used for speed control

Maximum number of controlled axes (referring to CF cards with performance extension 1): usually 6 servo axes, 4 vector axes, or 8 V/F axes. The actual number of controlled axes is related to the load of CU320 (i.e. the selected function), and should be based on the SIZER configuration software.

The servo axis and vector axis cannot be controlled by the same CU320, that is, the servo axis and vector axis cannot be mixed on the same CU320, but both can be mixed with V/F.

Maximum output frequency and weak magnetic field: servo is 650Hz, vector and V/F control is 300Hz. A maximum of 5 times weak magnetism.
