Sensor system

The 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current sensor system consists of the following parts:

3300 XL 8mm probe

3300 XL extension cable

3300 XL Proximitor

The system outputs a voltage signal proportional to the distance between the end of the probe and the surface of the conductor under test. It can perform both static (displacement) measurement and dynamic (vibration) measurement. It is mainly used for vibration and displacement measurement of oil film bearing machinery, as well as key phase and speed measurement.

The 3300 XL8mm system is our advanced eddy current sensor system, 100% compliant with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard (fourth edition) for this type of sensor. All 3300 XL 8mm eddy current sensor systems can meet the specified performance standards, and the probes, extension cables and proximitors are completely interchangeable and do not require separate matching components or bench calibration.

Every component of the 3300 XL 8mm sensor system is backward compatible and interchangeable with other non-XL 3300 series 5mm and 8mm sensor system components. For example, when there is not enough space to install an 8mm probe, a 3300 5mm probe is usually used instead.

Proximitor

Compared with the previous Proximitor, the 3300 XL Proximitor has a major improvement. It can be installed on a compact rail or a traditional panel. When using panel mounting, the mounting hole position is the same as the previous 3300 Proximitor with four holes. Both types of mounting substrates are electrically insulating and do not require a separate insulating board. The 3300 XL Proximitor has strong anti-radio interference ability, even if it is installed in a glass fiber protective cover, it will not be interfered by nearby radio signals. The improved RFI/EMI anti-radiation capability enables it to meet European electromagnetic compatibility standards without special shielding ducts or metal protective boxes, thereby reducing installation costs and reducing installation complexity.

The SpringLoc terminal strip of 3300 XL can be fastened without special installation tools. Since there is no need for screw fastening, there will be no loosening, so the connection is stronger.
