The uniqueness of Controllogix:

1. Product design

The Controllogix processor provides optional user memory modules (750K to 8M bytes) that can solve application problems in systems with a large number of input and output points (supporting up to 4000 analog and 128000 digital points). The processor can control local input and output as well as remote input and output. The processor can monitor inputs and outputs in the system through Ethernet EtherNet/IP, Control Network ControlNet, Device Network DeviceNet, and Remote I/O Universal Remote I/O.

When there are multiple processor modules in the Controllogix rack, and even multiple processor modules in the ControlNet network, all processors can read input values from all input modules. Any processor can also control any specific output module. Specify which processor controls each output module through system configuration.

The Controllogix system is a rack mounted, modular installation. The Controllogix I/O module is installed in a modular manner. The power module is installed directly on the left end of the Controllogix rack. Controllogix racks come in five types: 4, 7, 10, 13, or 17 slots. The module can be inserted into any slot on the rack. The maximum number of channels for the Controllogix I/O module is 32. The mechanical lock of the detachable terminal block of each module can prevent incorrect voltage from being applied to the module. The input/output module can be plugged and unplugged with power.

2. Communication

In addition to the built-in RS-232 (DF1/DH-485 protocol) communication interface, the network communication interface is modular. Including Ethernet EtherNet/IP, Control Network ControlNet, Device Network DeviceNet, DH+network, Remote I/O Network Universal Remote I/O. Controllogix can also be connected to networks such as Profibus DP and Modus through third-party communication modules
