During the 4th CIIE, Siemens' blockchain-based product "Carbon Footprint Trusted Actuarial and Traceability Solution" was exhibited for the first time, using blockchain and edge computing technologies to accurately track the life cycle of controller products. Carbon footprint to achieve transparency of carbon footprint.

"For example, to reduce carbon for a company, you can imagine that when a person loses weight, he will check the calorie meter for everything he eats. Our solution is to draw a detailed "calorie meter" for the company." Siemens Global Xiao Song, executive vice president and president of Siemens China, said in an interview with China News Agency and other media that the carbon footprint can be accurately calculated through the system, and at different nodes can know how much carbon emissions are, and then look for suitable carbon reduction methods.

For governments and enterprises, the primary task of reducing carbon emissions is to clarify the current carbon emissions, predict the trend of carbon emissions, and explore potential areas for improvement in "carbon neutrality". The application of digital innovative technologies or companies’ carbon neutrality in the future The key driving force in the track.

In Xiao Song's view, the above solutions will be a good boost for companies and their products in the future emission reduction work, and can help companies take a key step towards achieving carbon neutrality. At present, the solution has been put into practice, and it has been successfully applied in Siemens' Amberg factory in Germany and the digital factory in Chengdu, China.

Xiao Song revealed that the solution was completed by the joint innovation and integration of China and Germany, and the two sides also developed breakthrough key technologies, such as energy management, edge computing, and blockchain.
